Astronomical unit calculation linked to the transit of Venus
Venus2004.org Team, the 11/05/04

The calculation of the astronomical unit can be very difficult depending on the calculation methodology chosen.

We decided to propose to our readers a file writen by Mr Arkan Simaan for the Physics Education journal http://www.iop.org/journals/physed and a file written by Mr Robin Catchpole for the same journal.

Arkan Simaan

Physicist and author of the book " Venus in front of the sun" .
Arkan Simaan is a Physics teacher in a Parisian
school. Arkan Simaan supported actively Venus2004.org during its action to calculate the astronomical unit.

The article proposed by Arkan Simaan has been written for the Physics Education journal http://www.iop.org/journals/physed
